Authors Instructions

Scientific Matrix Journals welcomes submission of original, high-quality manuscripts that contribute to advancement of knowledge in Medical Sciences, Life Sciences, Computational Sciences, and Engineering. Authors must ensure that their manuscript is prepared according to the following guidelines to facilitate efficient peer review and publication.

The journal accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses

  • Letters to the Editor

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared in clear English language and submitted in MS Word format.

General Formatting

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margin: 1 inch on all sides
  • Page numbers: required
  • File format: .doc or .docx

Manuscript Structure

Authors should organize manuscripts in the following order:

1. Title Page

  • Full title of manuscript
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Corresponding author details
  • Email address
  • Keywords (4–6)
  • Running title (short title)

2. Abstract

  • Word limit: 200–300 words
  • Structured abstract preferred
  • Should briefly describe background, methods, results, and conclusion

3. Keywords

Provide 4–6 keywords relevant to the manuscript.

4. Introduction

Explain background, rationale, and objective of the study.

5. Materials and Methods

Provide detailed methodology, study design, sample details, instruments, and statistical analysis.

6. Results

Present findings clearly using tables and figures where appropriate.

7. Discussion

Interpret results, compare with previous studies, and explain significance.

8. Conclusion

Summarize key findings and implications.

9. Acknowledgment

Mention funding agencies, institutions, or contributors.

10. Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any conflict of interest.

11. Ethical Approval

Provide ethical approval details where applicable.

12. References

References should follow Vancouver style or standard scientific format.

Figures and Tables

  • Figures should be high resolution (300 dpi)
  • Tables should be editable (not images)
  • Each figure and table must have a title
  • Figures and tables must be cited in the text
  • Avoid duplication of data in tables and figures

Reference Style

Authors should ensure accurate referencing.

Example (Vancouver style):

  1. Smith J, Kumar R. Role of molecular genetics in disease diagnosis. J Med Sci. 2022;10(2):100-105.

References should be numbered in the order of citation in the text.

Ethical Requirements

Authors must ensure:

  • Original work
  • No plagiarism
  • Ethical approval obtained where required
  • Patient confidentiality maintained
  • Informed consent obtained for clinical studies

Charges / Fees

Scientific Matrix Journals provides two publication models to support both authors and readers: Open Access publication and Subscription Access model. Authors may choose the appropriate model based on funding availability and publication preference.

There are no manuscript submission charges in either model.

Open Access Publication

Under the Open Access model, the full article is freely available to readers worldwide immediately after publication. This model increases research visibility, accessibility, and citation potential.

Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after the manuscript is accepted following peer review. The APC supports editorial processing, peer review management, formatting, online hosting, and long-term archiving of the article.

Subscription Access Model

Under the Subscription model, authors are not required to pay publication charges. The article abstract is freely available on the journal website; however, the full-text article is accessible only through institutional subscription or individual article purchase.

This model is suitable for authors who do not have funding support for APC.
