Ethics & Review Process
Scientific Matrix Journals follow a rigorous and transparent publication process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity, quality, and originality. The journal adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to promote ethical research and responsible publishing.
Editorial Responsibility
The Editorial Board is responsible for maintaining the scientific quality and integrity of the journal. All submitted manuscripts are carefully evaluated for relevance, originality, and ethical compliance.
Editors:
- Make decisions based solely on academic merit
- Ensure all manuscripts undergo proper peer review
- Maintain confidentiality and editorial independence
- Monitor ethical standards throughout the publication process
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.
- Acceptable similarity index: ≤ 20%
- Manuscripts exceeding this limit are returned for revision
- Resubmission is allowed after correction
Peer Review Process
- All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review
- Reviewed by at least two independent experts
- Review duration: approximately 60–90 days
- Final decision based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment
Editorial Decisions Include:
- Accepted as is
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Rejected with resubmission option

Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must:
- Submit original, unpublished work
- Ensure all data are accurate and authentic
- Follow ethical guidelines for human and animal studies
- Provide ethical approval and informed consent where applicable
- Disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources
- Revise manuscripts according to reviewer comments
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Maintain strict confidentiality

- Provide constructive and evidence-based feedback
- Identify relevant literature not cited

Authorship Criteria
Scientific Matrix follows ICMJE authorship guidelines. Authors must:

- Take responsibility for the integrity of the work

Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have been previously published must obtain written permission from the copyright holder(s) for both print and online use. Proof of permission must be submitted along with the manuscript.
All manuscripts must include a section before references covering:

- Conflicts of Interest
- Sources of Funding
Declarations for Authors, Reviewers, and Editors
Authors must include the following statements in their manuscript under the Acknowledgements section:
- Funding: None
- Conflict of Interest: None declared
- Ethical Approval: Not required

Post-Acceptance Process
- Manuscripts undergo professional copyediting and formatting
- Authors receive proof copies for final corrections
- Only minor corrections are allowed at this stage

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted content does not violate copyright laws. Proper permissions must be obtained for any previously published material used in the manuscript.
